Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris used a speech in Nashville to preview an aggressive 2028 agenda that would upend core constitutional guardrails, including the Electoral College and the structure of the Supreme Court.
Speaking at the National Urban League Conference, Harris focused on voting rights, the 2026 midterms, and her political future, according to Gateway Pundit. When asked whether she is planning another run for the White House, she hedged, saying she has not yet made a decision but warning, 2028 will not matter if we dont win 2026.
Even without a formal announcement, Harris laid out a sweeping platform that would dramatically expand federal power at the expense of long-standing constitutional norms. Her wish list includes eliminating the Electoral College, packing the Supreme Court with 13 justices, granting statehood to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, and abolishing the Senate filibuster, a move President Trump long warned Democrats would pursue.
We need to revisit the point of expanding the court to 13 justices, like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and DC, Harris said, in a remark that also revealed a troubling grasp of basic judicial facts. The United States does not have 13 district courts; it has 89 district courts across the 50 states, five more in the territories, and 13 appellate circuit courts, a distinction any competent lawyerlet alone a heartbeat away from the presidencyshould know.
Harris also attacked Tennessees Republican-led redistricting, which dismantled a racially gerrymandered district that had favored Democrats. They backdoored racism through politics in that decision, Harris said, casting a routine legislative process as bigotry.
She went further by blaming the Trump Administration for mass deaths abroad after changes to foreign aid programs, again without evidence. Its so unbelievable that they got rid of USAID! As many as 600,000 to 700,000 people have died because of withdrawing American aid for humanitarian purposes! Harris said, a sweeping claim that underscores how casually the left deploys inflammatory numbers to justify expanding government power at home and abroad.
