Watch: Leftist Reporter Comments On Political Coalition-Building Prompt Widespread Reaction

A prominent progressive commentator is under fire after openly admitting she would support a secret Nazi in office so long as that politician advanced her socialist agenda.

Emma Vigeland, a far-left reporter and co-host of The Majority Report With Sam Seder, made the remarks during a recent appearance on a Vox podcast, according to Gateway Pundit. Her comments surfaced just as Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner exited his race amid rape allegations, following earlier controversy over his not-so-secret Nazi tattoo that apparently did not trouble Vigeland or her ideological allies.

Vigeland told Vox host Astead Herndon that she does not care if a progressive or socialist candidate has "Nazi" skeletons in their closet, so long as they vote the way she wants. "I am wary of over-focusing on an individual's personal character over their platform."

Doubling down, she added, "You know, I've said this before. I don't really care if say like Bernie Sanders or AOC go home and they're a secret Nazi, but they go out, and they vote for the right things. We're talking about politicians......" Herndon, audibly taken aback, cut in and asked, "You dont care?"

Vigeland laughed and began, "I mean..." as the exchange grew more uncomfortable. Herndon pressed the point, saying, "I'm like....I think these are the lines that people are talking about. Some people care about that exact thing."

Vigeland then stammered through a justification that underscored the lefts growing indifference to moral character in public life. "But, but, but, but why would it matter if they're public officials and they are doing the right thing in public."

For many conservatives, the episode highlights a troubling double standard in a political culture where character is weaponized against figures like President Donald Trump, yet casually dismissed when it comes to advancing a Democratic Socialist agenda. Watch: You can watch the full interview below.
