California Caught Recruiting Non-Citizen Teens To Handle Ballots In 2026 Election

California officials are now actively recruiting non-citizen teenagers to work inside polling locations and handle ballots for the 2026 election, raising fresh concerns about the integrity of an already strained electoral system.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the state is turning to green card holders as young as 16 to perform frontline election duties that many Americans would reasonably assume are reserved for citizens. Green card holders as young as 16 can check voters off official rosters, distribute ballots, handle election equipment, and help close polling locations. The state admits it does not fully track how many are being used. They cannot legally vote in an American election. California is recruiting them to help administer one.

As reported by Natalie Winters of Substack, internal documents show California officials directing public schools to identify teenagers, including lawful permanent residents who are not U.S. citizens, to staff polling places in November 2026. These teenagers are not being asked to simply hand out stickers or direct voters toward the entrance, but to issue ballots, check voters off official rosters, help operate election equipment, assist voters throughout the day, prepare ballots for pickup, and participate in closing polling locations.

In other words, California has made citizenship optional for the people performing frontline election duties. State law apparently permits this arrangement, underscoring how far Sacramentos political class is willing to stretch the concept of civic responsibility. In a state of nearly 40 million people, the claim that there are not enough citizen adults to run elections strains credulity and looks more like an ideological choice than a logistical necessity.

Ward Clark of RedState warns that the law allows them to help operate voting equipment, which, presumably, includes voting machines such as the questionable Dominion voting systems. These kids dont have to tally ballots. They will, it seems, have access to the actual machines. He adds that its small wonder the American populace is losing faith in our nations elections. California, though, seems to be breaking new ground. The once-Golden States elections have gone from tragedy to farce, and not even the passage of the SAVE America Act will fix all of that states self-inflicted stupidity.

This is what years of one-party rule by Democrats gets you. If ever there were a state in urgent need of new leadership committed to election integrity, rule of law, and respect for citizenship, it is Californiawhere the ruling Democrat establishment appears determined to test just how far it can erode public trust in the most basic function of self-government.
