FBI Terror Watch List Attempts To Infiltrate U.S. In April Eclipse Trump's Entire Tenure

In April, border patrol agents apprehended sixteen individuals on the Federal Bureau of Investigation's terror watch list, exceeding the number caught attempting to cross into the United States during former President Donald Trump's four-year term.

This recent tally brings the total number of terror suspects arrested trying to cross the southern border illegally in Fiscal Year 2023 to almost 100, making it a record-breaking year for President Biden's border crisis, with more apprehensions than ever.

According to the Federalist, of the 98 foreign terror suspects caught crossing the border in FY23, only two attempted to enter the United States via Mexico. In contrast, the others came south via the country's border with Canada. Although terror suspects make up a small portion of the millions of illegal migrants apprehended at the border, the rapid increase in their presence has alarmed lawmakers and citizens alike.

Regarding the sixteen individuals detained in April, the Republican House Homeland Security Committee tweeted, "Those 16 individuals are only the ones we know about. Imagine how many have crossed Biden's open border undetected."

In May, Republican House Committee on Homeland Security chairmen sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray, urging their respective organizations to take action and solve the crisis. They cited the arrests of Afghan and Pakistani nationals on the FBI's terror watchlist, one of whom entered the country illegally with a group of migrants near Otay Mesa, California.

The chairmen expressed concern that the arrests and April statistics "raise serious questions about the security of our Southwest border and the potential for terrorists to take advantage of the glaring vulnerabilities due to the Biden-Harris administration's open-border policies."

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) echoed their sentiments, suggesting that the Biden administration was essentially providing "an open invitation to even the most wanted terrorists in the world to come to America," adding that "they know they'll never have to leave."
