He contrasted that decisive action with what he described as the reckless negligence of his Democratic predecessor, writing, Before I returned to office, Joe Biden opened our Southern Border to millions of Illegal Criminals, and allowed this foreign army to rape, maim, and murder American Citizens with total impunity.
Trump emphasized that his administrations approach to border security and foreign criminal organizations is rooted in a basic duty to protect American citizens first. He reminded supporters that his campaign promises were not rhetorical flourishes but commitments he intended to enforce with the full weight of U.S. power.

We will continue to work closely with security partners, like Venezuela and counties in the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition (A3C) partners to take the fight to our enemies, he said.
