Outrage Erupts As PBS Official Appears To Avoid Consequences Over Horrific Trump Post

A Colorado public broadcasting leader is facing mounting scrutiny but appears to have avoided immediate termination after posting a grotesque birthday wish directed at President Donald Trump.

The uproar began when the X account Republicans Against Trump solicited hostile remarks about the Presidents 80th birthday over the weekend, as reported by Western Journal. Donald Trump turns 80 today. Any birthday wishes? the account asked, prompting a reply from an account under the name Bob Greene that rapidly spread across social media.

Greenes account responded with a message that many critics described as dehumanizing and vicious: A nice stroke that turns him into a drooling, pooping blob in a wheelchair unable to speak, the account wrote. The exchange was quickly captured and reposted by the X account Libs of TikTok, which identified Greene as the board chair of Rocky Mountain PBS.

Bob Greene is the Board Chair for Rocky Mountain PBS, Libs of TikTok wrote, drawing attention to the apparent double standard in public media circles that routinely preach civility while tolerating open hatred toward conservatives. Libs of TikTok later shared what it said was an official response from Rocky Mountain Public Media, the parent organization of Rocky Mountain PBS.

According to that statement, the organization acknowledged it was aware of Greenes post and sought to distance itself from his rhetoric. Rocky Mountain Public Media said Greenes comment did not reflect its values or opinions and attempted to frame the incident as inconsistent with its public mission.

The organization further stated that this level of discourse is never constructive to our collective efforts to strengthen the civic fabric of Colorado. The message was signed by Christina Chris Dayyani and included gender pronouns in the signature, underscoring the progressive culture that often dominates public broadcasting institutions.

Notably, the statement did not announce any disciplinary action, leaving many to question whether a conservative figure would have been treated so leniently. By Tuesday afternoon, Greenes X account had been deactivated, suggesting an effort to limit further backlash without addressing the underlying issue.

At roughly the same time, Western Journal observed that Greenes personal page on the Rocky Mountain PBS website remained active, indicating he still held his leadership role. By Wednesday morning, that same page had vanished, replaced by a notice stating that the page no longer existed or had been removed.

As of Wednesday morning, it remained unclear whether Greene had been fired, had resigned, or continued to serve in some capacity, as neither Greene nor Rocky Mountain Public Media immediately commented. The unresolved status of a public media executive who openly wished debilitating harm on a sitting President raises serious questions about ideological bias and accountability within taxpayer-supported institutions.
