GOP Rep. Gill Unloads On Jasmine Crockett With Explosive 'Race-Baiting Thug' Accusation

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) sharply rebuked fellow Texan Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) over her response to the verdict in the Karmelo Anthony murder trial, condemning what he described as racially divisive rhetoric that betrays American values

Appearing on Fox News Channels America Reports, Gill reacted to the case involving a young man killed at a track meet, a crime that has drawn national attention, as reported by Breitbart. According to Gill, Crockett was a race-baiting thug.

Gill described the anguish of the victims family and the hostility they have allegedly faced from radical activists. I mean, this is absolutely despicable. I mean, imagine if that was your son, he was at a track meet and was stabbed in cold blood, stabbed to death, and instead of getting sympathy for many people in your community, you have a bunch of hooligans and thugs and race-baiters calling you up and telling you that you should be next that your family should suffer, the rest of your family should suffer the same fate, Gill said.

He argued that such conduct violates the moral foundations of the country and undermines basic standards of decency. That is so antithetical to everything that this country stands for. Its absolutely gross. But what disappoints me the most is that youve got people in power Jasmine Crockett, for instance, one of my fellow congresswomen, who is a race-baiting thug, who is stating quite plainly, very recently, that the American people ought to have sympathy for Karmelo Anthony because hes black not for any other reason, but because hes black. Thats the kind of stuff that leads to this racial divisiveness.

For conservatives like Gill, the episode underscores a broader concern that identity politics and race-based appeals are eroding equal justice and personal responsibility in favor of grievance-driven narratives. His comments reflect a growing frustration on the right with Democrat lawmakers who, in their view, inflame racial tensions instead of uniting Americans around shared principles of law, order, and respect for victims.
