Chris Rabb, a far-left Philadelphia state representative backed by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has captured the Democratic primary for Pennsylvanias 3rd Congressional District, virtually guaranteeing his election in one of the safest blue seats in the country.

The district, encompassing North and West Philadelphia, is not only one of the most heavily Democratic but also one of the few black-majority districts nationwide, according to The Post Millennial. Rabb rode a wave of progressive enthusiasm, securing endorsements from Squad members Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Pramila Jayapal, as well as other hard-left organizations.

After receiving Ocasio-Cortezs backing, Rabb said he was honored and hailed her as the standard-bearer of this generation of Congress for a reason. Her vision for a multiracial working class has resonated from Queens to Philly to every part of this nation, he said, aligning himself firmly with the Democratic Partys most radical wing.

Rabb also drew institutional support from the Working Families Party and the Philadelphia Democratic Socialists of America, groups that routinely push policies expanding government control and regulation. Our coalition is people-powered, and our allies are united in our fight to demand a prosperous future for the multiracial working class families and communities who are the heart of Philly and represent our citys incredible strength and potential," Rabb said in a statement.

He secured roughly 45 percent of the vote, defeating early establishment favorite state Senator Sharif Street, who finished with under 30 percent. Speaking from the stage on election night, Rabb openly embraced the charge that his agenda is extreme, declaring, I have been critiqued along this campaign for being too radical, being too bold. They aint seen nothing yet.

This is just the beginning because I see you. I see you. I know what were capable of. I see your beauty. I see your power, he added, signaling that Philadelphias 3rd District is poised to send yet another aggressively progressive voice to Washington at a time when many voters nationwide are seeking a return to order, restraint, and common-sense governance.
