White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has welcomed her second child, announcing the arrival of a baby girl just days after her final press briefing before maternity leave.
According to Gateway Pundit, Leavitt revealed the news on social media, writing, On May 1st, Viviana aka Vivi joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. ?? She continued, She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.
Leavitt, a prominent conservative voice in the administration and a frequent defender of President Donald Trumps agenda, also expressed gratitude for the support she received during her pregnancy. Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy I truly felt them throughout the entire experience, she wrote, adding simply, God is Good.
Vivianas birth came just four days after Leavitt conducted her last White House press briefing before stepping away for maternity leave. On Friday, April 24, during what she described as her final gaggle for some time, she told reporters, On a personal matter, this will likely be my last gaggle for some time.
As you can see, Im about ready to have a baby any minute, so I will see you guys very soon, she added, underscoring her intention to return to the podium after her leave. She did briefly return on April 27 to deliver remarks following the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, reflecting the seriousness with which this administration treats national security and media-related violence.
Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, are now parents to two children, including their son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, who will turn two in July. The growing family offers a visible example of pro-family values at the heart of public service, a reminder that even at the highest levels of government, faith, children, and gratitude remain central.
