President Donald Trump launched a blistering broadside against Democratic leaders on Sunday night, denouncing them as human garbage over what he described as their latest scheme to interfere in the upcoming midterm elections.
The president used his Truth Social platform to target Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former Attorney General Eric Holder, after Holder was tapped to join a partisan, misleadingly titled voter integrity task force. According to RedState, Trump framed the move as yet another attempt by Democrats to manipulate the electoral system while cloaking their efforts in the language of democracy and fairness.
Holder has long been a central figure in the Democratic Partys redistricting crusade, working hand-in-glove with Barack Obama through their Redistricting U. initiative launched in 2016. The project, marketed as a grassroots training effort, has in practice focused on redrawing electoral maps in ways that benefit Democrats and entrench progressive power at every level of government.
"So ironic that Cryin Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are hiring SLEAZEBAGS like Barack Hussein Obamas Crooked former Attorney General, Eric Holder, and others of that ilk, to look into Voter Integrity, when this same group of Human Garbage RIGGED the 2020 Presidential Election," Trump fumed. His comments reflect a broader conservative frustration with what many on the right see as a double standard: Democrats loudly proclaiming themselves guardians of democracy while working relentlessly to tilt the playing field.
Trump also highlighted the Democrats fierce opposition to the SAVE America Act, legislation designed to tighten election safeguards and curb abuses that conservatives argue have become endemic. He reserved particular scorn for Republicans who, in his view, are standing idly by instead of fighting for meaningful reforms to secure the ballot box.
Trumps message was unambiguous: the time for half-measures and timidity is over. "GET TOUGH REPUBLICANS THEYRE COMING, AND THEYRE COMING FAST! Theyre no good for our Country, they almost destroyed it, and we dont want to let that happen again! These are highly dishonest people who are, in many ways, treasonous, in that they are trying to destabilize the United States of America in what, some would call, a War. Republicans must TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, and approve all of the necessary Safeguards we need for Elections to protect the American Public during the upcoming Midterms."
Yet expecting the GOP to unite and aggressively counter years of Democratic maneuvering may be overly optimistic. While the left advances its agenda through redistricting schemes and mass immigration policies that reshape the electorate, too many Republicans appear content to posture rather than legislate, even joining Democrats to block the SAVE America Act.
The roots of the current fight stretch back years. In 2019, Obama promoted All On The Line, a campaign tied to the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), which partnered with him to launch "Redistricting U," a program explicitly focused on training activists to influence the redistricting process in Democrats favor.
Obama, unveiling the initiative, made clear his long-term ambitions. He said he could not "wait to begin organizing when the redistricting process starts in 2021," adding, "we need to build this movement from the ground upright now.
He underscored that training was central to his political strategy. "Training is at the heart of organizing. Its why Ive always made it a priority from my 2008 campaign until now. Holder chairs this operation, overseeing a sophisticated network of legal challenges, fundraising drives, ballot initiatives, and grassroots organizing all aimed at producing maps that lock in Democratic advantages. Far from a neutral effort to fix the system, conservatives see it as a calculated strategy to engineer permanent progressive dominance through the courts and bureaucratic maneuvering.
"With fair maps and a more just electoral system, we can have leaders who are more likely to tackle the important issues facing our country and be more responsive to the needs and desires of the people they were elected to represent," he proudly states on the group's page. To the left, fair maps has become a euphemism for outcomes that favor Democrats, even when that means racial gerrymandering and slicing communities apart to manufacture safe blue districts.
While Democrats loudly posture as champions of voter integrity, their record tells a different story. Figures like Holder and Obama have spent years weaponizing redistricting through Redistricting U. to construct racially engineered, Democrat-heavy districts, exploiting every procedural and legal loophole to secure partisan advantage.
This is not neutral stewardship of democracy; it is manipulation dressed up as reform. Only when Republicans attempt to respond in kindby tightening election laws or challenging dubious mapsdo Democrats suddenly rediscover their supposed concern for election integrity.
For conservatives, the lesson is stark: the opposition is not playing by Marquis of Queensberry rules, and navet is a luxury the country can no longer afford. Republicans must recognize that they are confronting "garbage" people who pose a genuine threat to the constitutional order, pass the SAVE America Act, dismantle the procedural roadblocks like the filibuster when necessary, and put an end to these cynical power plays before the damage becomes irreversible.
