Investigative reporter Katie Daviscourt was violently swarmed and struck in the face with a rock by masked Antifa militants while covering their May Day riot outside Portlands federal ICE facility on Friday night.
The attack unfolded as Daviscourt, who reports for The Post Millennial and Human Events, attempted to document what she has long described as an unlawful, far-left occupation of federal property, according to Gateway Pundit. Despite having private security on site, she was forced to retreat as black-bloc extremists encircled her in what she later characterized as a coordinated direct action by Antifa, a group conservatives have repeatedly urged federal authorities to designate and treat as a domestic terror threat.
Daviscourt livestreamed the assault and quickly posted a clip to X, offering a real-time glimpse into the escalating hostility faced by right-leaning journalists who challenge radical left street movements. In her caption, she wrote, Its impossible for me to do my job down at the Portland ICE facility, even with security. I was violently mobbed out by Antifa, and a suspect in black bloc threw a rock at my face.
She added that she is exhausted by the constant targeting and the lack of meaningful law enforcement response. I have zero desire to discuss this further, but everyone is tired of it and wondering why a crackdown on Antifa a terrorist organization has not yet occurred.
In the video, a frenzied mob in black bloc surrounds Daviscourt, shouting threats as she attempts to film the ongoing illegal encampment outside the federal complex. The masked militants can be heard screaming at her to RUN after pelting her with a rock and pursuing her down a darkened road.
The Portland ICE facility has been subjected to a near-constant, 24-hour anti-ICE encampment and protest for more than 75 days, effectively turning a federal site into a lawless zone. Daviscourt has identified her assailants as longtime security operatives for Rose City Antifa, whose explicit role, she says, is to intimidate and expel journalists and activists they view as ideological opponents.
According to Daviscourt, the same pair has targeted her since at least 2020 in Seattle, underscoring the persistence and organization of Antifas intimidation tactics. Last year, the couple told her on camera, People like you shouldnt ever feel safe.
Daviscourt has been warning for months that the Portland ICE occupation represents a broader breakdown of law and order enabled by progressive leadership. In an August 2025 post she resurfaced today, she cautioned that Antifa had grown emboldened after a judge ruled Portland Police did not have to enforce laws at the site, and she urged the Trump administration to deploy the National Guard, establish a secure perimeter with checkpoints and curfews, and protect federal property and journalists.
No arrests have been reported in connection with the assault, raising fresh questions about why authorities continue to tolerate a self-styled militant movement that openly menaces reporters and undermines federal sovereignty. For many on the right, Daviscourts ordeal is further evidence that unchecked left-wing extremism, coupled with judicial and political leniency, is eroding basic public safety and the rule of law.
