The clash intensified after Rogan, who has long criticized Californias left-wing governance, again contrasted Newsom unfavorably with President Donald Trump, according to Mediaite. Newsom, who frequently mimics President Trumps blunt and combative style on social media, chose to answer Rogans latest broadside through a statement posted on his press offices X account, turning the exchange into a high-profile proxy fight over leadership, authenticity, and the failures of progressive rule in California.
Rogan, once a vocal supporter of the president, has recently taken a more critical line on Trump over foreign policy issues such as the Iran conflict and other matters. The governors response came after Rogan aired a clip on his podcast torching Newsoms record and character, reiterating why he fled California for Texas in 2020.
