Greg Gutfeld has cemented his status as the new king of late night while Jesse Watters has emerged as the undisputed powerhouse of the 8 p.

m. hour, underscoring Fox News continued dominance in a media landscape still obsessed with attacking President Donald Trump.

According to Gateway Pundit, the two Fox News hosts are not merely edging out their rivals; they are dominating cable news ratings by offering viewers a clear alternative to the liberal hosts on liberal networks who have been shrieking the same anti-Trump crap every night for more than a decade now. The only real distinction on the left, the outlet notes, is that The only thing MSNOW has going for it is that they come right out and admit that theyre basically resistance TV, whereas CNN still tries to pretend that theyre somehow playing it down the middle.

As reported by Mediaite, Fox News continued its cable news ratings dominance in April with hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters pulling in the biggest numbers, while CNN and MS NOW also notched prime time gains. In prime-time total viewers from Monday through Sunday, Fox averaged 2.9 million viewers and 284,000 in the key 2554 demographic, while its total-day audience averaged 1.8 million viewers and 173,000 in that same age group.

April marked Foxs third-most-watched April in the networks history, according to Nielsen data. The standout programs were The Five, drawing 3.8 million viewers, and Jesse Watters Primetime, with 3.6 million, followed closely by Sean Hannitys show at 3.2 million and Gutfeld! with 3 million.

Bret Baier over on Special Report also averaged around 3 million viewers overall. Collectively, Those five shows took the top five spots for cable news for the month, a clean sweep that underscores how thoroughly Fox has eclipsed its competitors.

Watters and Gutfeld are both co-hosts of The Five as well as hosting their eponymous shows easily making them the two most-watched personalities in the cable news business. In the 2554 demo, Fox also led the field, with Gutfeld! (349,000), Jesse Watters Primetime (335,000), The Five (329,000), and Hannity (319,000) all outpacing Rachel Maddows once-weekly program, which took fifth with around 280,000.

It certainly doesnt hurt Gutfeld or Watters that they have both gotten so good at going after Jessica Tarlov on The Five. Of course, she makes it pretty easy for them too, a reminder that when liberal talking points are forced to confront sharp, unapologetically conservative scrutiny, audiences are voting with their remotes for the side willing to challenge the narrative rather than echo it.
