Dan Bongino Says No Shame Left On The LeftReveals What Hes Seeing Behind Trump Assassination Attempts

The escalating pattern of threats and violent rhetoric aimed at President Donald Trump has prompted stark warnings from those who know presidential security best, with former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino declaring that theres no shame on the political left when it comes to endangering the presidents life.

According to WND, Bongino appeared on Fox News on Sunday, just hours after the latest attempt on President Trumps life, and was asked whether the rhetoric on the left had reached a turning point.

Were turning a point all right for the worse, not for the better, he replied, making clear that the climate surrounding the president has grown more dangerous, not less.

Bongino argued that the left has normalized extreme hostility toward President Trump, stripping away the moral boundaries that once constrained political discourse.

I think theres an assumption on the left where theres no shame threatening the presidents life. So this isnt a both-sides thing. So we can just cut that garbage out right now and just stop the nonsense.

He contrasted that with the standards typically enforced on the right, where calls for violence are swiftly condemned and marginalized.

On the right, any kind of mainstream figure on the right, if you were to go out an even imply someone should be physically hurt on the left for their ideas, youre almost instantly shamed out of the movement. There is no such corresponding effect on the left.

Bongino said the left not only tolerates but often rewards those who traffic in violent rhetoric, giving them prominent platforms instead of ostracizing them.

And not only is there no shame, youre welcomed in open arms on mainstream left-wing podcasts. Theyre like, Hey, come on in and spew this bile out there. There is no such corresponding movement on the right. There is no both sides folks. Stop telling yourself that. Its not true. You would never be allowed on this network. You work here, Ive worked here a long time. You would never be allowed on this network even joking around about that stuff. Youd be gone! Theyd pull you off mid-segment. They dont allow that stuff. Its not a both-sides thing. It is garbage.

Drawing on his years of experience protecting presidents, Bongino said his concern for President Trumps safety is not theoretical but deeply personal and long-standing.

The former protective agent said hes extremely concerned for this president, [and] have been for a long time.

He emphasized that even elite security cannot fully eliminate risk, because those tasked with protection are always one step behind the attacker.

This has to be the luckiest man on Earth. You could have the greatest Secret Service in the world, guys, but the hard reality is theyre always reacting. And reacting is always slower than acting, because the person acting knows what theyre gonna do. Im gonna storm this checkpoint.

Bongino described the inherent fog of war that surrounds any real-time security incident, noting that even the most highly trained units face the same basic limitation.

Theres always a fog of war problem. I mean you could have Green Berets and SEAL Team 6 out there, the greatest spec-ops people in the world. Theyll compress that timeline to act, but youre always reacting to someone else. And Im worried for him. I have never seen anything like this in my time in law enforcement.

The gravity of the situation has even pierced the partisan divide, with at least one Democrat publicly urging restraint after the latest attempt on President Trumps life.

One Democrat in Congress, U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington state, took to X on Sunday to plead: Please stop trying to murder the president.

Her plea underscores a reality that transcends party lines: a republic cannot survive if political disagreements are routinely framed in apocalyptic terms that invite or excuse violence.

As President Trumps second administration presses forward under unprecedented security pressures, voices like Bonginos are warning that unless the left is held to the same moral and civic standards conservatives demand of their own, the nation risks normalizing political bloodlust instead of robust but peaceful debate.
