Rosie ODonnell Sneaks Back Into Unsafe America After Vowing Exile Over Trump

Rosie ODonnell has once again slipped back into the United States, despite her dramatic pledge to stay away for as long as President Donald Trump occupies the Oval Office.

According to Breitbart News, the left-wing comedian and former daytime television personality, who loudly decamped to Ireland in protest of President Trump, has now admitted she returned to the country she once claimed she could not bear to live in. Her latest stateside visit came to light after she lashed out on social media over speculation that she was selling her Irish property in order to move back permanently.

TOTAL BULLSHIT I CAME HOME TO MEET MY GRANDSON GOING BACK THIS WEEKEND, ODonnell raged in an all-caps reply to an Instagram post suggesting she was preparing a full-time return. The former *The View* co-host clarified that her trip was to celebrate the birth of her grandson, even as she insisted she would soon retreat again to Ireland.

As Breitbart News reported, ODonnell who has spent years railing against President Trump in rambling social media videos filmed from her Irish residence had already quietly slipped into the U.S. earlier this year. At the time, she framed the visit as a kind of reconnaissance mission, claiming she was merely checking whether it was safe to re-enter her own country.

I was recently home for two weeks, and I did not really tell anyone, the 64-year-old confessed in January. I just went to see my family. I wanted to see how hard it would be for me to get in and out of the country.

ODonnell admitted she still regards America as home, even while theatrically suggesting she first had to test whether it was safe before bringing her daughter back. Notably, she had fled the United States with that teenage daughter for Ireland just before President Trumps inauguration in January 2025, turning her relocation into a political statement.

From abroad, ODonnell has continued to fixate on the Trump administration, devoting much of her time to TikTok tirades and partisan commentary. Earlier this year, she oddly claimed she has not been watching the news, a claim that clashes with her constant stream of posts attacking the president over virtually every new development in Washington.
