Ro Khanna Defends Alliance With Radical Streamer Accused Of Extreme Antisemitism And Dog Abuse

Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California openly defended his alliance with a radical left-wing online personality who has been accused of antisemitism and animal abuse, insisting he has no regrets and would gladly appear on the program again.

According to WND, Khanna appeared on NBCs Meet the Press Sunday, where host Kristen Welker pressed him over his repeated guest spots with socialist Twitch commentator Hasan Piker, a prominent figure in progressive politics whose influence now stretches from the midterms to early maneuvering for 2028. While many Democrats have eagerly tapped Pikers massive online audience, others on the left have warned that his rhetoric particularly about Jews and Israel is toxic and politically dangerous, yet Khanna chose to stand by him rather than distance himself from the extremism.

Welker highlighted those concerns on air, noting that Some of your fellow Democrats, though, have raised alarms about his views, before reading from a critique by two members of a left-leaning think tank. This is how they put it. They wrote, No left-wing agitator is more influential and extreme than Twitch streamer Hasan Piker. Hes referred to ultra-Orthodox Jews as inbred, employed anti-Semitic dog whistles (blood-thirsty, violent pig dog) against an anti-Hamas viewer of his stream, compared liberal Zionists to liberal Nazis and said Hamas is 1,000 times better than the Israeli state.

Welker then asked Khanna directly, Now, Hasan Piker says some of his comments have been taken out of context, but he largely stands by them. Do you have any regrets about appearing on his show? Khanna replied without hesitation, None. And I would go again, signaling that, for at least one high-profile Democrat, courting the hard-left digital base outweighs concerns about antisemitic rhetoric or moral standards.

Pikers controversies extend beyond politics and into his treatment of animals, drawing condemnation from conservatives and moderates alike. Vice President J.D. Vance criticized Piker for his reported use of a shock collar on his dog during an October 2025 livestream, after streamers and Reddit users surfaced footage of Piker apparently using the device or threatening to activate it to force his dog Kaya to remain in a more photogenic position on camera.

Suspicions intensified when Kaya appeared visibly distressed during one of Pikers livestreams, behavior consistent with the documented effects of such devices. Shock collars can cause dogs to suffer from stress and anxiety while also leading them to engage in less desirable behavior and aggression, to Dogster.com, raising serious ethical questions about a figure celebrated by much of the progressive left.

Hes been using a shock collar on a setting so high that his dog F***ING SCREAMS when he uses it, fellow streamer Tectone alleged in an Oct. 7 post on X, underscoring the severity of the accusations. As Democrats like Khanna continue to embrace Pikers reach despite charges of antisemitism and cruelty to animals, voters are left to weigh whether the partys leadership is more committed to appeasing radical online influencers than upholding basic moral and humane standards.
