JUST IN: Eric Swalwell Panics, Sends Kash Patel Cease and Desist Letter as FBI Director Pushes to Release Salacious Fang Fang Files

Eric Swalwells political ambitions in California are colliding with renewed scrutiny over his long-rumored ties to a Chinese spy, as his legal team scrambles to block the release of potentially explosive FBI files.

According to the Gateway Pundit, Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, now campaigning to become Governor of California, has dispatched his attorneys to pressure FBI Director Kash Patel into keeping decade-old investigative records under wraps. Attorneys for Rep. Eric Swalwell demanded in a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel that the bureau refrain from releasing decade-old investigative files involving the congressmans purported ties to a suspected Chinese intelligence operative, the Washington Post reported on Monday.

Swalwells lawyers insist there is no legitimate reason for the public to see the documents, arguing that their client cooperated with federal authorities when the matter first surfaced. Swalwells attorneys said in their letter that there was no justification for releasing the files, especially since the congressman had assisted the FBI in its investigation, WaPo reported.

The letter goes further, accusing Patel of engaging in a political hit job designed to derail Swalwells gubernatorial bid and threatening legal consequences for the bureau. The congressman has never been accused of wrongdoing in that matter and your attempt to release the file is a transparent attempt to smear him and undermine his campaign for governor of California, the letter said, according to WaPo. Your actions threaten to expose you, others at the FBI, and the FBI itself to significant legal liability.

The controversy traces back to a classified Intelligence Community report detailing Swalwells intimate relationship with Chinese spy and honeypot Fang Fang, a scandal that has dogged him for years. According to Axios, Fang Fang was a bundler for Eric Swalwell and other Democrat candidates but it was also reported the Chinese spy had an intimate relationship with Swalwell.

Those allegations were not mere rumor in Washington, where a Capitol Hill source previously confirmed to the Federalist that Swalwell indeed had a sexual relationship with Fang Fang. Despite this, and despite the obvious national security implications, Swalwell remained on the powerful House Intelligence Committee, courtesy of then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with access to some of the nations most sensitive secrets.

Concerns about foreign influence and compromised lawmakers were further inflamed when Breitbart News reported in 2021 that China puppet Joe Biden was hiding the classified report on Swalwells sexual relationship with Fang Fang. The report, which intelligence and national security sources familiar with its contents who spoke on condition of anonymity told Breitbart News, contains details of the nature of Swalwells relationship with Fang Fang including certain sexual acts they allegedly engaged in together. Sources familiar with it, however, would not provide any more detail on the nature of those acts or other details in the reportwhich is currently classified, Breitbart News reported.

For seasoned national security professionals, the decision by Democrat leadership to shield Swalwell and keep him on the Intelligence Committee was indefensible. For those who have seen the details of the Swalwell case, it was shocking that Pelosi and Schiff so willingly kept him on the intelligence committee even for nakedly partisan lawmakers like themselves, a former senior national security official familiar with the details of the report told Breitbart News.

The scandal has also spilled into the public arena, with conservative reporter Nick Sortor previously confronting a visibly intoxicated Swalwell about his relationship with Fang Fang on camera. As President Trumps second administration moves to clean up entrenched security failures and foreign influence, the battle over these FBI files raises a stark question for California voters: will transparency and national security prevail, or will another well-connected Democrat be shielded from accountability yet again.
