You Can't Make This Up: No Kings Marchers Chant Abolish The Police While Cops Escort Them Across DC Bridge

Marchers in Washington, D.C., spent part of their No Kings protest shouting abolish the police while being escorted and shielded by the very officers they were denouncing.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the spectacle unfolded during nationwide No Kings Day demonstrations targeting President Donald Trump and federal agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Several No Kings protesters chanted anti-police slogans Saturday while uniformed officers could be seen ushering their march through the streets of Washington, video footage by the Daily Caller News Foundation shows.

Thousands converged on the nations capital, where the rhetoric quickly escalated from routine anti-Trump messaging to explicit calls to dismantle law enforcement. During one portion of the Washington demonstrations, protesters chanted multiple times in favor of defunding or even abolishing the police despite officers at the same time visibly protecting them.

I said take it to the streets, abolish the police, a male protester leading a chant yelled as multiple on-duty law enforcement officers walked with them, video by DCNF investigative reporter Hudson Crozier shows. Cops spent hours accompanying the protest and holding off traffic for about a mile, giving them the entire Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge along the way, Crozier wrote in the post, referring to the arch bridge crossing the Anacostia River in Washingtons southeast quadrant.

In another clip, demonstrators can be heard demanding cuts to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) budget even as MPD officers stand by to secure their route and safeguard their assembly. The scene underscores a broader irony: elected Democrats across the country have already conceded that the abolish the police push was a disastrous political miscalculation, yet their activist base continues to double down on the same radical slogan.

For many conservatives, the episode captures how far left-wing activism has drifted from basic logic, railing against the very institutions that guarantee its right to protest. The left has really become a parody of themselves and they dont even see it.
