Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned to the gym floor in a familiar role, guiding his son Joseph Baena through an intense training session as the younger man prepares for his first bodybuilding competition.

According to Fox News, the seven-time Mr. Olympia champion, now 78, was seen working side by side with 28-year-old Baena at the storied Golds Gym in Venice Beach, California, the same venue where Schwarzenegger helped turn bodybuilding into a global phenomenon. This time, however, the Hollywood icon and fitness pioneer stayed out of the spotlight, focusing instead on coaching, correcting and refining his sons every move as Baena steps into a sport that rewards discipline, personal responsibility and relentless effort.

In video obtained by Fox News Digital, the "Terminator" star is shown meticulously adjusting Baenas stance and posture, ensuring that each pose highlights the right muscle groups. After a rigorous weightlifting session, Baena stripped off his shirt to reveal a sharply defined physique, flexing his biceps as Schwarzenegger corrected his angles and even helped him nail one of the legends own signature poses.

Dressed in a simple black T-shirt, shorts and knee-high socks, Schwarzenegger watched intently, offering the kind of hands-on instruction that cannot be faked or outsourced. Onlookers soon gathered as father and son moved through each pose with precision, turning the already famous mecca of bodybuilding into an impromptu master class in old-school training.

Baena, a "Dancing with the Stars" alum, has been showcasing his workouts and conditioning in behind-the-scenes training clips on social media, fueling speculation about his competitive ambitions. He has also been building a career beyond the weight room, from acting roles such as the 2024 action thriller "Gunner" to landing a Mens Health cover, all while facing constant comparisons to his father.

"It's been a huge growth year of me finding out who I am and really being secure confident no matter what the challenges are, what the comparisons are," Baena previously told Fox News Digital. Acknowledging the burden that comes with a famous last name, he added, "The message that I wanted to get across was, theres a lot of people out there with very accomplished parents and its scary. Its scary to get compared to these giants, and to have the feeling like you need to live up to these expectations."
