While Trump Rushes To Pay TSA, Bernie Sanders Slips Out Of DC In First Class During Border Funding Meltdown

Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders was photographed relaxing in a first-class seat as he slipped out of Washington for a two-week Easter recess while the nation grapples with a manufactured funding crisis and a partial shutdown of critical homeland security functions.

According to the Gateway Pundit, TMZ obtained an image of Sanders living large in First Class even as federal workers and ordinary Americans face uncertainty and disruption. The timing of his departure coincided with a chaotic overnight session in the Senate, where lawmakers rushed through a stopgap measure that deliberately carved out enforcement arms of the federal government tasked with securing the border.

The Senate, in the early hours of Friday morning after a marathon session, unanimously approved a voice-vote package to fund the Department of Homeland Security, but it explicitly excluded Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and key components of Customs and Border Protection. Democrats, determined to weaken immigration enforcement, flat-out refused to support full funding without gutting immigration raids and deportation operations, effectively prioritizing the interests of illegal immigrants over the rule of law.

Rather than mounting a sustained fight for full funding of border and immigration enforcement, Senate Republican leadership, led by Senator John Thune, capitulated in the dead of night, when no one was watching. Thune then reportedly left town with a private escort, bypassing the long TSA security lines that everyday Americans must endure, even as many of those same TSA agents faced uncertainty over their pay.

While Sanders settled into a plush first-class seat on his way out of the capital, Americans were left to deal with the fallout of what has been dubbed the Schumer shutdown. The image of a self-described socialist enjoying luxury travel while government workers and travelers suffer delays and missed flights underscores the disconnect between left-wing rhetoric and personal behavior.

President Trump, by contrast, moved swiftly to shield frontline security personnel from the consequences of Democrat obstruction. On Friday, he signed an executive order authorizing pay for TSA agents, following through on his pledge that I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country, as I always will do!

Trump had announced that he would sign an order instructing DHS Chief Markwayne Mullin to pay TSA agents, directly confronting Democrat attempts to use federal workers as leverage for open-borders concessions. He blasted Democrat leaders, declaring, The Radical Left Democrats, and their Leader, Cryin Chuck Schumer, have made it very clear where they stand, and that is, ON THE SIDE OF CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS, AND NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

The President further warned of the consequences of Democrat immigration policies, stating, They are refusing to fund Immigration Enforcement unless the Republicans agree to their Open Border Policies, which will never, ever happen again. They almost destroyed our Country, allowing 25 Million People to enter from Prisons, Mental Institutions, and Insane Asylums, those that are Drug Dealers, and thousands of Murderers, many of whom killed more than one person.

Calling the situation a true National Crisis, Trump explained, Therefore, I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat Chaos at the Airports. It is not an easy thing to do, but I am going to do it!

He added his appreciation for those on the front lines, saying, I want to thank our hardworking TSA Agents and also, ICE, for the incredible help they have given us at the Airports. I will not allow the Radical Left Democrats to hold our Country hostage any longer. Thank you for your attention to this matter! With the order now signed, TSA agents are set to begin receiving paychecks on Monday, even as Democrat leaders and their allies in the Senate continue to resist full funding for the very agencies charged with defending Americas borders.
