President Donald Trumps 2025 State of the Union address has been swiftly vindicated by new federal data showing that the southern border can, in fact, be secured when the White House is willing to enforce the law.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have confirmed an extraordinary milestone: ten consecutive months in which zero illegal aliens were released at the border. This stands in stark contrast to the Biden years, when Democrats insisted they needed sweeping new legislation and endless bureaucratic tinkering to manage the crisis they themselves helped create. Their narrative has now collapsed under the weight of simple, decisive executive action.
DHS announced the achievement in a press release titled, Tenth Straight Month of Zero Illegal Aliens Released at the Border, underscoring that this period coincides with historically low border crossings. The agency further reported that February data also showed that CBP recorded its highest single month of drug seizures since October 2021, a sign that enforcement is not only deterring illegal entry but also disrupting cartel operations.
Ten straight months of ZERO illegal aliens released at the border. President Trump promised to secure the Border, and that is a promise we delivered, declared Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. We have the most secure border in American history. Our borders are CLOSED to lawbreakers.
CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott emphasized the broader significance of the shift, stating, February marks the tenth straight month that U.S. Border Patrol has not released a single illegal alien into the interior of the United States a clear reflection of the enforcement-first posture restoring integrity to our nations borders. He added, While threats to our national and economic security continue to evolve, so does our resolve to meet them, as we carry out our mission of protecting the homeland while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
The results are stark: illegal border crossings and apprehensions have fallen to levels not seen in over three decades, with daily apprehensions reportedly down 95 percent from the previous administration. With 13 consecutive months of fewer than 9,000 southwest border apprehensions, the data demolish the claim that America is helpless in the face of mass illegal migration.
Yet even as the border is finally being secured, Democrats persist in trivializing the issue with ideological theatrics, including the absurd suggestion that Thomas Paine was some kind of undocumented immigrant. Sure, Rep. Raskin. Thomas Paine was just like someone who sneaked across our southern border, conservatives scoff, pointing to such rhetoric as proof that the left remains detached from both history and reality.
While President Trump and his team demonstrate that firm, lawful enforcement can shut down the chaos at the southern border, his opponents cling to historical distortions and open-borders talking points, prompting many Americans to conclude, with growing frustration, that These people are insane.
