An NBC News survey of 1,000 registered voters conducted February 27March 3 finds President Donald Trump outpacing several of the lefts most prominent figures in personal popularity.
According to Breitbart, the poll shows President Trump with a 41 percent total positive rating, putting him ahead of CBSs The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, who registers at 35 percent. California Governor Gavin Newsom, widely viewed as testing the waters for a future presidential run, records a notably weak 27 percent positive rating, while former Vice President Kamala Harris, also seen as eyeing the White House, posts a 34 percent positive score.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a leading voice of the progressive wing, fares little better, with a 31 percent positive rating in the NBC poll. The results underscore how aggressively promoted liberal personalities continue to struggle to win broad public approval, even as media and party elites elevate them.
The survey also tested public sentiment on major issues and other public figures, with Iran, Artificial Intelligence, and Governor Newsom emerging as the least popular subjects polled with positive ratings of 8 percent, 26 percent, and 27 percent, respectively. In contrast, Pope Leo the Fourteenth is the most popular figure of the 14 with a 42 percent positive rating, edging out President Trump by a single point.
Vice President JD Vance (R) is tied with Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the second highest positive rating of 38 percent, suggesting that a tough stance on border security and law enforcement still resonates strongly with voters. The NBC polls sample included 368 registered voters who said theyd vote in Democratic primaries and 319 who said theyd vote in Republican primaries, indicating that even within a mixed electorate, conservative leaders remain highly competitive against their media-backed critics.
