The Trump Organization has finalized a landmark agreement to build a record-shattering skyscraper on Australias Gold Coast that will instantly become the tallest structure in the country.
According to Western Journal, the 91-story Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast, carrying a price tag just over $1 billion, will dominate the skyline in Queenslands famed Surfers Paradise, signaling both a major expansion of President Donald Trumps business footprint and a vote of confidence in Australias tourism economy. The project, reported on Feb. 23 by NBC News, underscores how the Trump brand continues to attract global partners eager to associate with its reputation for luxury and high-end development.
Australias tallest building will be a Trump Tower, right in the middle of Surfers Paradise its great for Queensland tourism, and fantastic for Australia, Altus Property Group, the projects developer, said in a statement. The tower is slated to feature more than 270 apartments, retail outlets, a beach club, a pool, and a six-star resort hotel, according to NBC News, positioning it as a flagship destination for affluent travelers and investors.
The skyscraper will prominently bear the Trump name, a branding decision that signals both ambition and confidence in the enduring appeal of the Presidents business empire. It wont have a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton brand above the front door, but it will say Trump. And that means it is a no-expense-spared, highest-possible-quality building the best in the world.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization, publicly celebrated the deal, highlighting its symbolic and strategic importance. I am so proud to announce what will soon be the tallest building in Australia Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast, he wrote, framing the project as a milestone in the companys global expansion.
This marks our first venture into Australia an extraordinary country in every respect and I couldnt be more excited to help shape its iconic skyline forever. More to come Eric Trump added, signaling that this may be only the beginning of a broader Trump presence in the region. A description on the Trump Hotels website similarly boasts that the tower redefines beachfront sophistication with world-class amenities, iconic design, and uninterrupted Gold Coast views.
David Young, CEO of Altus, revealed that his pursuit of a partnership with the Trump family dates back nearly two decades. He said he cold-called Ivanka Trump in 2007 in an effort to secure a deal, according to The Independent, and the long-delayed vision has now finally materialized.
Importantly, the building is Australian-owned and Australian-built. It is an Altus subsidiary, Altus Resorts Pty Ltd, that makes the decisions on the fit-out, within the Trump design requirements, Young noted, emphasizing that while the project carries the Trump brand, control and ownership remain firmly in Australian hands. The agreement was formally signed on Feb. 14 at Mar-a-Lago, underscoring the close alignment between the Presidents private-sector success and a global appetite for market-driven, luxury development that stands in stark contrast to bureaucratic, government-heavy approaches favored by the left.
