Democratic strategist James Carville launched a profanity-laced tirade against President Donald Trump in a Politicon video released Monday, framing it as a personal message ahead of Trumps State of the Union address.
According to WND, the video was posted to Politicons YouTube channel on the eve of Trumps Tuesday speech and centered on Carvilles claim that the President is loathed and undermined by those closest to him. The veteran Democratic operative, long known for his bombastic style, used the opportunity not to debate policy or ideas, but to hurl personal insults and paint a picture of a White House consumed by betrayal and contempt.
I have a personal message for Donald John Trump. And you sit still, you son of a b*tch, when Im telling you this. Im going to tell you right where you are, you fat, sorry sack of sh**, Carville said, dispensing with any pretense of civility. People hate you. And Im not just saying this because I dont like you. Im saying this because Im telling you whats happening to you right now First of all, everybody is stabbing you in the back. You can trust no one.
Carville went on to allege that members of Trumps own team are actively working against him, casting the administration as a nest of disloyal aides. He accused War Secretary Pete Hegseth of leaking that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine warned Trump about all the dangers in bombing Iran, a claim Trump pushed back on in a Monday Truth Social post disputing reports about Caines views.
Why are they doing that? Because they hate you! And theyre going to leak, the Democratic strategist said, insisting that the supposed disloyalty is rooted in personal animus rather than policy disagreements. And theyre going to talk to The New York Times and theyre going to talk to everybody else. Just like your own staff.
Carville further asserted that Trumps White House chief of staff despised the president, again offering no evidence beyond his own rhetoric. Theyre all leaking like crazy They dont give a sh** about you, he said, portraying the administration as irreparably fractured and driven by hatred of its own leader.
From there, Carville shifted from attacking Trumps inner circle to attacking Trump personally, focusing on appearance and popularity rather than governance. You are the most unpopular president at this point in your term that weve ever had. They dont like you. You understand that? They dont like you, he added. They dont like the way you smell. They dont like the way you look. They dont like your fat stomach. They dont like your stupid comb-over. They just dont like you.
Trumps approval rating stood at 42.5%, according to the RealClearPolling average as of Tuesday afternoon, a figure that hardly supports Carvilles claim of unprecedented unpopularity but nonetheless became a springboard for his invective. Rather than engaging with the millions of Americans who continue to support Trumps agenda of border security, deregulation, and economic nationalism, Carville dismissed them by implication as outliers in a nation supposedly united in contempt.
Moreover, Carville predicted that the 2026 elections would serve as a sweeping repudiation of Trump and his movement. You know how miserable youre going to be in November. You know how f***ing miserable you are when tens of millions of American people get a chance to tell you exactly what they think of you, Carville said. Oh, and theyre going to do it And there are no silent people out there for you. The only thing you got is a silent but deadly fart. Its about all youre good for.
So, I wish you good health. I hope that youre cognizant because I want you to know that youre experiencing the misery that youre going through right now, the public humiliation that is happening to you as we speak, he continued, openly relishing the idea of Trumps suffering. But more important, the knowledge of the coming public humiliation that you are and we want to watch you in public be humiliated and listen to the verdict of the American people because its coming. Its mighty and its just, and people will tell you exactly what they f***ing think of you. And I got news for you. It aint very good.
Carville has made little effort to hide his personal obsession with Trumps downfall, repeatedly framing politics in terms of vengeance rather than persuasion or policy. Carville previously that he fantasized about Trump being miserable and said it made him feel at ease during a July 2024 episode of his Politics War Room podcast, and he also a reckoning for Trump collaborators in an April 2025 Politicon video, underscoring how the lefts leading strategists increasingly substitute coarse personal hatred for substantive debate over the conservative policies that continue to resonate with tens of millions of Americans.
