President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Clay Fuller, a veteran prosecutor and Air National Guard officer, in the special election for Georgias 14th Congressional District, seeking to steer the deep-red seat back toward an unapologetically America First agenda.
According to Breitbart, the endorsement was delivered on Truth Social, where President Trump hailed Fuller as an America First Patriot. The move comes after the resignation of former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose departure created a rare open seat in a district that has been a stronghold for conservative, pro-Trump voters.
As District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, and Air National Guard Officer, Clay knows the Wisdom and Courage required to Defend our Country, Support our Brave Military/Veterans, and Ensure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, President Trump wrote. He added that As your next Congressman, Clay will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Safeguard our Elections, Champion School Choice, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.
Fuller currently serves as District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit in northwest Georgia, where his campaign describes him as the top prosecutor for the region who prosecutes some of the circuits most violent and heinous crimes. He secured convictions in numerous jury trials, including murder, rape, and armed robberyresulting in life sentences for the perpetrators, and has argued criminal cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
In addition to his prosecutorial work, Fuller is a Lieutenant Colonel and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate in the Air National Guard. He has been rated the #1 mid-career officer by his Wing leadership and has received both the Air Force Commendation and Meritorious Service Medals.
Fullers rsum also includes service as a White House Fellow appointed by Trump in 2018, where he worked on national security policy, counterterrorism operations, and the opioid crisis in both the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Defense. His recent deployment to the Middle East in 2024, serving as a legal adviser in support of U.S. Central Command operations, further underscores his national security credentials.
President Trump had already distanced himself from Greene before her November 2025 resignation announcement, criticizing her constant complaints and citing polling that, he said, showed she could not win without his backing.
After her 60 Minutes appearancewhere Greene faulted Trumps emphasis on domestic priorities and accused him of fueling threats against herTrump sharpened his rebuke, declaring she was not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, a clear signal he intended to rally the district behind a new standard-bearer aligned with his conservative, America First platform.
