Conservative activist Nick Shirley, whose earlier work exposed alleged abuses in Minnesotas child care system, has now turned his attention to California amid fresh accusations of widespread fraud involving so?called ghost day care centers.
According to Sean Hannity, Shirley announced his arrival on the West Coast with a social media post that signaled his next investigative move. Hello California Ive arrived, Shirley wrote on X on Saturday, sharing a photo of himself wearing a Support Independent Journalism hoodie that underscored his outsider, watchdog posture.
While Shirley has yet to publicly outline his specific targets, allies suggest a new expos is already in motion. Amy Reichert, a private investigator and local political figure, hinted at an upcoming release, declaring, California, here we come! When @nickshirleyy drops the video, its going to be (fire emoji), alongside a photo of the pair.
Reichert has been a vocal critic of Californias child care bureaucracy, amplifying concerns about systemic abuse and lax oversight in media appearances, including on Fox News. I started looking into state records and I found ghost day cares, these are places where the state inspector showed up, there would be 28 kids enrolled and there were no kids there in the middle of the day and in the middle of the week, Reichert said, describing what she views as a glaring failure of government accountability.
Her allegations point to a deeper problem in a state already known for bloated agencies and weak safeguards on taxpayer funds. Reichert went on to claim there could be billions of dollars worth of fraud uncovered in California, a prospect that will likely intensify calls from conservatives for rigorous audits, criminal prosecutions, and a rollback of the expansive welfare bureaucracy that enables such abuse.
