Bongino Blames 'Powerful Enemies' As Show Relaunch Crashed By 'Attackers'

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino opened the relaunch of The Dan Bongino Show by alleging that both his program and the video platform Rumble were under attack after his first live stream abruptly crashed.

According to the Daily Caller, Bonginos initial live broadcast on Rumble the exclusive home for his show was quickly beset by technical glitches before going down entirely. When he reappeared in a second stream, he apologized to viewers and claimed there were powerful interests determined to keep his voice off the air.

Alright, folks. Sorry about that, but a lot of people interested in keeping me off the air as you can probably imagine. So if you can hear us, just let us know, Bongino told his audience as he came back online. But Rumble under attack and the show of course is under attack. This is what these scumbags do. They cant have a voice like me speaking out. I anticipated some of this so I appreciate you all hanging with us.

Its a live show obviously and we had a good kind of impression this was going to happen, he added, suggesting the disruption was no accident. They just dont want me to talk. Theyre so terrified of this show coming back that they were going to do anything to try to stop us.

Bongino had publicly announced his decision to leave the FBI in a Dec. 17 post on X, formally exiting the bureau on Jan. 4. His departure cleared the way for a media platform where he says he can speak freely about what he witnessed inside the federal government.

His revived program will focus on Washington insights, behind-the-scenes details from his time in government, and a message of hope and resilience in the conservative movement, according to a Jan. 12 announcement. That framing underscores his intent to challenge what many on the right see as an entrenched, unaccountable bureaucracy hostile to conservatives and to President Donald Trump.

Bongino has already hinted at explosive material he plans to address, pointing to documents he reviewed that inspired a viral July 2025 X post in which he said he was shocked to his core and would never be the same. I was just reading some stuff about Crossfire, Bongino said on The Vince Show on Jan. 12, referring to the FBIs Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

And I was blown away I lived in this kind of tiny apartment in D.C., And Im sitting there and Im thinking to myself, I couldnt believe it happened here, he recalled. I just thought, gosh, these guardrails just broke down because of people. People are guardrails, not robots And I was just stunned at how many people just let this just the incredibly poor decision-making, he added.

It blew my mind I got up the next day and I just fired that out I was really shaken by the whole thing, how these guardrails broke down so quickly. It was astonishing. And I was oh boy. Even now talking about it, I just remember that feeling. Like, oh my gosh, did this really happen? Yeah, thats what that was about. For many conservatives, his account reinforces long-standing concerns that Crossfire Hurricane the FBIs counterintelligence probe into President Donald Trumps 2016 campaign over alleged Russian collusion was driven more by politics than by evidence.

Bongino has indicated he will likely delve further into the documents and their implications on his show within reason, signaling more scrutiny of the FBIs conduct during the Trump era. Rumble did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundations request for comment, leaving unanswered questions about the nature of the alleged attack on the platform as Bongino positions his program as a counterweight to what he and many on the right view as a deeply compromised federal establishment.
