Radical left-wing demonstrators descended on Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, on Wednesday night, attempting to disrupt a major Christian gathering where Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, was scheduled to speak.
According to Gateway Pundit, the protest erupted outside the church as families and congregants arrived for the launch of the Make Heaven Crowded tour, an event hosted by TPUSA Faith and megachurch pastor Greg Laurie. The evening, designed to promote faith, repentance, and spiritual awakening, quickly became a test of religious liberty as attendees were met with shouts, whistles, and open intimidation.
Footage from the scene shows leftist agitators aggressively targeting Christians while police officers tried to maintain order. What was intended as a peaceful worship event drew a large crowd to the Riverside campus, only to be overshadowed by activists chanting shame and blowing whistles at parents shepherding their children into church.
In one particularly disturbing outburst, a protester screamed at a woman holding her baby boy, saying f-ck that child and urging her to drop him. Eyewitnesses described the spectacle as an outright attack on religious freedom, emblematic of a growing hostility toward public expressions of Christian faith.
Police ultimately had to escort attendees for their safety as rioters shouted that it wasnt a real church, attempting to delegitimize one of the nations most prominent evangelical congregations. The church, founded by Pastor Greg Laurie, is known for its large-scale evangelistic events and has long been a target for secular activists who resent its cultural influence.
The harassment in Riverside follows a broader pattern of left-wing intimidation, including a recent anti-ICE mob that targeted a Minnesota church, where arrests were made but the suspects were later released by what critics describe as an activist judge. For many believers, these incidents underscore the need to defend religious liberty and resist efforts by radical elements to silence Christian voices in the public square.
