The big insurance companies lose, and the American people win."

In a newly released five-minute White House video, President Donald Trump outlines what he calls the Great Healthcare Plan, a sweeping initiative aimed at driving down prescription drug costs while sending direct financial relief to American families, according to Sean Hannity. Framing the effort as a sharp break from business-as-usual in Washington, the President casts the plan as a repudiation of entrenched corporate interests and a long-overdue victory for patients and taxpayers.

Today, Im thrilled to announce my plan to lower health care prices for all Americans and truly make health care affordable again, President Trump declares, emphasizing that his administration is doing things that nobodys ever been able to do. Were calling it the Great Healthcare Plan, he continues, stressing that instead of putting the needs of big corporations and special interests first, our plan finally puts you first and puts more money in your pocket.

Central to the proposal is a direct-payment model that bypasses traditional insurance middlemen and empowers individuals to purchase coverage on their own terms. The government is going to pay the money directly to you, the President explains, adding, It goes to you, and then you take the money and buy your own health care. Nobodys ever heard of that before.

That way, it is. The big insurance companies lose and the people of our win, he says, underscoring his intent to shift leverage away from large insurers and toward consumers. He notes that this proposal locks in massive discounts on prescription drugs that my administration is achieving through our Most Favored Nation drug pricing agreement.

Now, when you hear about that, for the last 40 years, theyve been trying to do it, but theyre never able to do it, President Trump states, drawing a contrast with his predecessors. No other president was able to do it. I got every other country to approve it by the use of tariffs and other things.

According to the President, the impact on prices would be dramatic and unprecedented in modern health policy. Itll bring down drug prices 80, 90% in some cases. Just numbers nobodys ever heard before, he says, promising, Your prescription drugs will come way down, and under this policy, the prices of many drugs will be slashed by 300, 400, even 500%.

So, instead of Americans paying the highest drug prices in the world, which we have for decades, we will now be paying the lowest cost paid by any other nation, he continues, arguing that ordinary citizensnot bureaucrats or lobbyistswill finally reap the benefits. Thats what were going to pay, and the American people get the savings. I have to reiterate: the lowest price in the world is what you are going to pay.

Before, you were paying the high price by far, and politicians did nothing about it, President Trump concludes, casting his plan as a corrective to decades of inaction and capitulation to pharmaceutical and insurance interests. For conservatives who favor market-driven reforms and direct empowerment of individuals over government-managed care, the Great Healthcare Plan is presented as a bold attempt to realign the system toward competition, transparency, and tangible savings for American families.
