Left-wing rioters in Minneapolis are reportedly rifling through abandoned federal law enforcement vehicles, broadcasting the names and home addresses of agents in real time as they display sensitive documents to online audiences.
According to Western Journal, the alarming reports surfaced after the Department of Homeland Security said one of its agents shot a Venezuelan immigrant in the leg following a targeted traffic stop, during which the suspect allegedly fled and then attacked the officer, as NBC News noted.
The latest escalation follows a week of unrest over the death of Renee Good, a woman shot after she allegedly rammed her SUV into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent during an immigration enforcement operation in the city.
Mayor Jacob Frey, a Democrat who has long clashed with federal immigration authorities, accused ICE of creating chaos and urged activists to avoid taking the bait in remarks delivered just after midnight Eastern Time, though he did not specify whether he was referring to the doxing broadcasts. His comments came as video circulated online showing multiple ICE and FBI SUVs smashed, vandalized and stripped by looters after agents were reportedly forced to abandon the vehicles under threat.
Independent journalist Nick Sortor posted a seven-minute video documenting rioters rummaging through the disabled federal vehicles, with some attempting to pry open locked compartments believed to contain weapons or classified equipment. Agents gear, laptops, and personal information now LITTERS the street, Sortor wrote, calling for the Insurrection Act to be invoked to restore order and protect federal personnel.
WARNING: The following videos contain vulgar language and graphic footage that some viewers will find offensive. Conservative commentators Jack Posobiec and Karlyn Borysenko also highlighted the unfolding doxings, with Borysenko sharing clips from livestreams in which rioters appeared to read out agents personal details to cheering online audiences.
The targeting of federal officers identities comes on the heels of a separate doxing incident involving the ICE agent who shot Good, whose personal information was exposed by a neighbor, Sara Larson. Larson was subsequently fired from her job and has since deleted the original video, but the damage to the agents privacy and safety had already been done.
Despite the spiraling violence, Mayor Frey has doubled down on his stance that the only path to peace is for ICE to halt enforcement operations in Minneapolis altogether. That position effectively leaves dangerous criminal aliens on the streets, even as federal authorities stress that those being targeted include child molesters and murderers with long-standing deportation orders that local officials have failed to enforce.
Ive seen conduct from ICE that is disgusting and is intolerable. If it were your city, it would be unacceptable there, too, Frey declared, continuing his rhetorical offensive against federal immigration agents rather than the rioters attacking them. Yet even he conceded that the mobs tactics are undermining the broader anti-ICE movement, acknowledging that the lawlessness is politically self-defeating.
And for anyone that is taking the bait tonight: Stop. That is not helpful. Go home. We cannot counter Donald Trumps chaos with our own brand of chaos, he said, invoking President Trump as a foil while the citys streets burned and federal agents were hunted online.
As federal vehicles lie in ruins and agents personal data circulates among extremists, the standoff in Minneapolis now raises a stark question: will local leaders continue to vilify immigration enforcement, or finally cooperate with Washington to protect citizens, uphold the rule of law and shield federal officers from leftist mobs determined to intimidate them into silence?
