Bill Ackman Breaks Silence On $10,000 GoFundMe Gift To ICE Agent Who Killed Minneapolis Mom

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has publicly confirmed he is the donor who contributed $10,000 to a GoFundMe campaign for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jonathan Ross, the officer who shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis last week.

According to Mediaite, Ackman ended speculation over whether he was the William Ackman listed on the fundraising page by posting on X Sunday evening. He explained that he backed Ross because I am a big believer in our legal principal that one is innocent until proven guilty, underscoring a core tenet of due process that many on the right argue is too often discarded in high-profile cases.

Ackman also disclosed that he had intended to donate to a GoFundMe set up for Goods family but was unable to do so in time. He said the campaign for Good closed before he could contribute, a detail that undercuts attempts to portray his support for Ross as purely one-sided or vindictive.

The donation was first highlighted Sunday morning by investigative journalist Jacqueline Sweet, who has closely tracked the online reaction to the shooting. Sweet noted that the campaigns organizer, Clyde Emmons, wrote on Facebook that the stupid c*nts wanna make a go fund me for that stupod (sic) bitch that got what she deserved I made one for the ice officer that did his job lets get this man some money, language that reflects the raw anger and polarization surrounding the case.

Rosss conduct in the January 7 incident remains fiercely contested, with the left insisting he executed an innocent mother of three, while conservatives, including Vice President JD Vance and Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem, describe him as an officer who neutralized a domestic terrorist in self-defense.

As investigations proceed, the clash over Rosss actions has become another flashpoint in the broader national struggle over law enforcement, border security, and whether officers like Ross will be presumed guilty in the court of public opinion before the facts are fully known.
