West Wing Star Vanishes After Arrest Warrant Issued For Child Sexual Abuse

Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, have reportedly obtained an arrest warrant for Hollywood actor Timothy Busfield following allegations that he sexually abused underage boys.

Authorities opened a probe into Busfield in November 2024 over alleged sexual abuse, and the warrant was issued January 9 as officers now actively search for the actor in the hope that he will surrender to law enforcement, according to the Daily Caller. As reported by the Daily Caller, Busfield, widely recognized for his roles in The West Wing and Thirtysomething, stands accused of pedophilia amid suspicions that he sexually abused underage male actors on the set of the television series The Cleaning Lady, according to TMZ.

TMZ reported that Busfield has been charged with child abuse and two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor under the age of 13. One alleged victim told investigators he was just 7 years old when Busfield allegedly touched his private parts on set after a scene had wrapped, according to TMZ.

Prosecutors said the boy alleged Busfield touched him 5 or 6 times between takes, describing repeated misconduct in a professional environment that should have safeguarded children. The same boy also alleged he was inappropriately touched by the actor multiple times when he was 8 years old, according to TMZ.

The outlet reported that the second child actor also told investigators that Busfield touched him, but no additional information was disclosed. Busfields other acting credits include Field of Dreams, and Revenge of the Nerds.

The actors whereabouts are unclear at this time, leaving serious allegations unresolved as police continue their search. For many Americans already skeptical of Hollywoods moral compass and its treatment of children, the case underscores growing concerns about accountability in an industry that often shields its own until law enforcement is forced to intervene.
