Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, a prominent member of the radical-left Squad, is once again facing scrutinynot for her rhetoric this time, but for an ugly confrontation after questions about alleged taxpayer fraud in Minnesota.
According to The Gateway Pundit, Pressley and her ex-husband, convicted felon Conan Harris, were approached inside Chelsea City Hall in Chelsea, Massachusetts, by a man asking about Somali childcare fraud in Minnesota and President Trumps efforts to investigate it. Rather than respond, Pressley hurried away in silence while Harris escalated the situation, physically knocking the questioners phone from his hand as the man began, Congresswoman Pressley, do you support.
The startled citizen immediately objected, telling Harris, Sir, you cannot take my phone out of my hand. As Pressley continued to ignore him and move quickly through the building, he called after her, Congresswoman Pressley, do you support President Trump investigating Somali childcare fraud in Minnesota? and again, Congresswoman Pressley?
Video of the incident, shared online and highlighted by Fox News, shows the tense exchange and the apparent attempt to shut down a basic question about public corruption. Fox News reports, Harris spent 10 years in prison on a drug trafficking charge before marrying Pressley, who said she draws from his experience of reintegrating into regular society after leaving prison to help inform how she advocates for incarcerated, or previously incarcerated, individuals.
Pressley has built a national profile championing socialist-style policies and aggressive government intervention, even camping out on the Capitol steps to demand taxpayer-funded rent relief. Yet while urging more redistribution from working Americans, she and Harris have quietly amassed a sizable real estate fortune.
In her first financial disclosure, Pressley reported $1,000,000 in assets, a substantial sum for a self-styled progressive crusader. Her latest disclosure now lists as much as $8 million in assets, underscoring the widening gap between her rhetoric and her personal financial reality.
Per the New York Post, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kiersten Pels did not mince words: Ayanna Pressley is a hypocrite who preaches socialism while pocketing millions. Pels added, She tells everyday Americans they must be forced to defund the police and live with sky-high crime in their communities while indulging in private security. Pressley is a fraud just like the rest of the Squad.
Pressleys tolerance for aggressive tactics appears to extend beyond this latest encounter with a citizen journalist. She has previously used incendiary language while targeting conservatives and critics in the private sector, including tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Pressley, apparently comfortable with violence against those who shine a light on fraud, called for violence when protesting Elon Musks work with DOGE, the original report noted, highlighting her own words. I want to say to our Republican colleagues pay attention. Were here today in the hopes that you will see the light. But if you do not see the light, we will bring the fire. Resist! she screamed from in front of the Treasury Department in February last year.
She also called Elon Musk a Nazi nepo baby, a slur that fits neatly with the lefts habit of smearing opponents rather than debating them. For a lawmaker who demands accountability from everyone else, Pressleys silence on alleged fraud, her husbands physical outburst, and her own record of inflammatory rhetoric raise serious questions about who is really abusing powerand who is trying to expose it.
