Two officers serving in the United States Space Force found themselves victims of a seemingly deliberate attack when their Washington, DC residence was broken into, vandalized, and set ablaze while they were away, as detailed on a GoFundMe page established for their family.

Jason and Kaylee Taylor returned to a home ravaged by fire, with the majority of their possessions reduced to ashes. Their vehicle was defaced with spray-painted messages, including "F*ck Trump" and "F*ck the Space Force," though these images were not displayed on the fundraising page.

According to The Post Millennial, the attack transpired on Sunday, December 28, while the Taylors, both active-duty Space Force officers, were traveling with their infant daughter, Rae.

The GoFundMe page states, While they were out of town, their home was broken into, robbed, vandalized, and intentionally set on fire, adding that the family lost nearly all their possessions. Among the losses was their cherished family cat, Marlee, who perished in the blaze. Tragically, in the fire they also lost their beloved cat, Marlee, who was a cherished part of their family, the page reads.

Fortunately, the Taylors were unharmed physically. We are incredibly grateful that Kaylee, Jason, and Rae were not home at the time and are physically safe, the page notes, though they now face the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch. The fundraiser seeks donations to address immediate needs and recovery expenses, with funds allocated for replacing basic necessities, temporary housing and living expenses, and rebuilding their lives after this devastating loss.

The GoFundMe campaign has garnered approximately $70,000 to date. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
