Iranian President Claims Regime Is In A Full-Fledged War With America And Its Allies

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Iran is embroiled in what he terms a "full-fledged war" with America and its allies.

In an interview featured on a website linked to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pezeshkian accused Western powers of trying to thwart Iran's quest for economic and political independence. "In my opinion, we are in a full-fledged war with America, Israel, and Europe," Pezeshkian stated, emphasizing, "They do not want our country to stand on its feet," as reported by Gateway Pundit.

He further compared this conflict to the Iran-Iraq War, noting, "This war is worse than Iraqs war against us," and elaborated, "If one understands it well, this war is far more complex and difficult than that war."

These comments coincide with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming visit to Washington for discussions with President Trump, focusing on Iran. In June, President Trump ordered strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites, intensifying a brief armed conflict between Iran and Israel, later dubbed the "12 Day War." The hostilities concluded after President Trump successfully negotiated a ceasefire in late June.

Since resuming office in January, President Trump has revived his "maximum pressure" strategy against Iran, a policy he initially implemented during his first term. This approach involves imposing new sanctions designed to cripple Tehran's economy and curtail its oil revenue from global markets.

Pezeshkian lamented, "Here, they are besieging us from every aspect, they are putting us in difficulty and constraint, creating problems, in terms of livelihood, culturally, politically, and security-wise, while raising societys expectations." He continued, "On one side, they block our sales, our exchanges, our trade, and on the other side, expectations in society have risen."

Pezeshkian concluded by urging collective effort, stating, "Consequently, we must all help with all our might to fix the country."
