In a recent appearance on MSNBC, Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett faced scrutiny when asked to articulate her policy priorities for her Senate campaign.

According to Sean Hannity, Crockett's campaign launch on December 8 was marked by a speech that spanned approximately 40 minutes but was notably sparse on specific policy proposals. Rampell, during her segment on The Weekend Primetime, pressed Crockett to elaborate on her policy focus, prompting the congresswoman to identify raising the minimum wage as a primary objective.
"I think we need to raise the minimum wage," Crockett stated, highlighting the stagnant $7.25 federal minimum wage in Texas and advocating for increased earnings for workers across the board.
Crockett's discourse then shifted to the broader economic landscape, addressing rising costs and federal expenditures. She criticized the allocation of funds abroad, remarking, "We know that costs are going up to the extent that we know that when people were showing up in those food lines as the President was sending $40 billion over to Argentina instead of making sure that people that are supposed to get their SNAP benefits had their money."
Her comments underscored concerns about the financial struggles faced by working-class Americans.
The congresswoman also took aim at Texas senators for their support of making President Donald Trump's 2017 tax cuts permanent and their opposition to healthcare subsidies. She further criticized Trump's tariff policies, which she argued have adversely affected small businesses in Texas. "We are one of the largest trading states in this entire world," Crockett noted, emphasizing the economic impact of tariffs and calling for Senate action to impose checks on presidential power.
Turning her attention to the judiciary, Crockett expressed a desire for increased Senate oversight of the Supreme Court. She pointed out the absence of ethical guidelines for the nation's highest court, stating, "It is time for us to actually exercise some oversight, and this is the only court, the highest court in the land its the only one that does not have any type of ethics that they have to follow." Crockett's remarks reflect a broader call for accountability within the judicial branch.
In addition to her policy positions, Crockett highlighted her legal background as a qualification for selecting judges as a U.S. senator.
