In a recent announcement on Fox & Friends, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem revealed a new initiative aimed at encouraging illegal immigrants to self-deport.

Those who utilize the CBP Home App to voluntarily leave the United States by the end of the year will be eligible for a $3,000 "exit bonus." This marks an increase from the previous standard incentive of $1,000.

According to Sean Hannity, this policy is part of the Department of Homeland Security's ongoing efforts since 2025, which have successfully facilitated 1.9 million self-deportations and 622,000 removals. The use of the app has significantly reduced enforcement costs, bringing them down from $17,000 per forced deportation to approximately $5,000.

Secretary Noem emphasized the holiday spirit in her remarks, stating, "Well, its home for the holidays season. So not only are we returning those kiddos back to their families that Biden lost, but we also are saying that if you voluntarily want to go home now to your country, if youre in this United States of America illegally, we will give you $3,000 through the holidays to send you home."

She further explained, "Well buy you a ticket, give you $3,000 to go home and that includes people that have not been detained, maybe have interacted with us, are detained and dont have criminal charges against them."

Encouraging participation, Noem added, "Raise your hand, well help you get home go on the CBP Home App, get information, and make sure youre in time for Christmas. Lets see how many people take that offer." This initiative underscores a commitment to reducing illegal immigration while promoting individual responsibility and cost-effective solutions.
