At 81, Martha Stewart has achieved another feat in her already illustrious career - gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit issue.

During an extensive interview, the multifaceted businesswoman delved into her unexpected but impactful friendship with the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg.

With a giggle, Stewart pulled out her phone to read a message from Snoop Dogg. "'Love you! Coming right up,'" she read, laughing. The encounter that sparked their friendship was when Snoop appeared on her show. The former culinary show host fondly reminisced, "What was really charming about Snoop, first of all, was his giggle. He giggles in a very, very nice way. And his quest for learning! He is a real student, and that's what really appealed to me."

She also shared their experience at the "Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber," where they were seated together. "All he did was smoke, and everybody was in such a good mood we were all roasting each other. And luckily, Snoop's secondhand smoke really kind of eased the pain for me a lot," Stewart said, adding that this experience was a significant moment in solidifying their bond.

Stewart and Snoop Dogg first collaborated in 2008 when the "Gin and Juice" rapper was a guest on "The Martha Stewart Show." Their on-screen chemistry was evident as they prepared mashed potatoes together. The following year, Snoop returned to Stewart's kitchen, this time to bake brownies. This began a series of collaborations, including co-hosting Puppy Bowls, VH1's celebrity cooking show "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party," and "Snoop and Martha's Very Tasty Halloween."

As Stewart shared her memories with Snoop Dogg, she reflected on her recent groundbreaking achievement. She is the oldest woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit issue. Stewart discussed her daring photoshoot during a podcast with MJ Day, Sports Illustrated's editor-in-chief.

In the first image, Stewart was pictured reclining on a sofa set against a tropical interior. She wore a white one-piece bathing suit and a sheer cover-up, her toned legs on full display. "I love that photograph," Stewart expressed, to which Day added, "I mean look at those legs, look at that smile, look at that fit."

Stewart wore a low-cut red swimsuit in another photo with a matching wrap around her waist. Stewart described it as a "sexy red Marilyn Monroe kind of pose." Day, visibly impressed, commented, "How beautiful are you."

The final image showed Stewart in the ocean, pouting towards the camera in a body-glove suit and fabulous sunglasses. "They were pouring water over my head. I was dunking constantly for that photograph," Stewart revealed, with Day humorously stating, "We baptized you, that's when you got your official baptism into Sports Illustrated Swimsuit right there."

The opportunity to be on the Sports Illustrated cover came in November 2022, and the shoot took place at the end of January 2023. Stewart recalled the unique experience during an interview with Today. "That was kind of a request that I've never had before. To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge."
