A video recently surfaced on the popular social media platform TikTok, featuring a Somali-American man expressing controversial sentiments.
The video, which has since gone viral, features the man thanking his audience for their hard work, which he claims allows him to live comfortably without employment.
He states, Thank you for working so hard so I can be home all day free. I can use my EBT. Go to work for me, white boy, white girl! Yeah! Go to work for me, you f**king white animals! F**king work for me. Yeah, you f**king work for me. And the U.S. government they work for me. All of you work for me. Now go to work.
According to The Blaze, this incident is indicative of a broader issue within the Christian community, as noted by Steve Deace, a conservative commentator. Deace argues that Christians often make assumptions about the nature of God without consulting scripture, leading to misguided beliefs and actions.
Deace recalls his own experiences as a new Christian and political commentator, struggling with the concept of "being kind to the alien and sojourner." He often found himself in discussions with pro-immigration advocates, including religious leaders and business officials, who argued that immigrants were simply seeking a better life. Deace admits, I could see myself falling into this to the point that one day, I let them put one of their illegal aliens on my show.
The guest, an illegal immigrant attending the University of Iowa, engaged in a conversation with Deace that was initially sympathetic. However, the tone shifted when Deace asked how the guest would respond to parents of students denied admission to the university in favor of illegal students. The guest's response was reminiscent of the sentiments expressed in the viral TikTok video.
He stated, Well, you guys stole this land from the Injuns. Its an illegitimate country. I dont feel any guilt and remorse whatsoever. And youve been raping the Latin world and third world ever since. So, you owe me.
This encounter served as a wake-up call for Deace, prompting him to reevaluate his approach to understanding God's character and scripture. He began to delve deeper into the Bible, finding instances of mass deportations, boundary enforcement, and divine punishment for those who failed to respect these boundaries.
Deace notes, Lets open up the word of God and see what it actually says. And Im reading Nehemiah. Theres mass deportations. Theyre building walls. God is punishing his people for not keeping boundary stones. I think the first judgment after Noahs flood is the Tower of Babel. And Gods like, Nope, you guys do not get to come together as one nebulous, globalist glob. We're not doing that here.
Deace believes that years of misguided Christian assumptions about God's character, particularly regarding open borders and indiscriminate welcome, have led to the current predicament. This situation is exemplified by the viral video, where a Somali immigrant openly taunts white Americans, whom he perceives as his personal servants. Deace laments, Now its just in your face.
He further criticizes the audacity of many illegal immigrants, stating, We will pee on you and tell you its raining. In fact, while were peeing on you and you know were peeing on you and you can smell the urine in the air, were going to keep just telling you its raining. Were going to laugh at you because we have no fear of you whatsoever. None. We have no fear of your politicians.
