Nalin Haley, offspring of former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, has made a bold call for the termination of dual citizenship, advocating for a policy that prioritizes American-born citizens.
Haley, a 24-year-old finance professional and Villanova University alumnus, is adamant about the need for undivided loyalty to the United States, especially for those in public office.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Haley expressed his firm stance on the matter. "We need to end dual citizenship, regardless of who it is, and only natural and only people born in this country who have been citizens of this country should be able to hold public office," he said. "No naturalized citizens."
He further emphasized the need for undivided loyalty, stating, "You either have your loyalty to the United States or you have it somewhere else. And if you can't figure that out, then this isn't the country for you."
Haley, who also chairs the Tri-County Republicans, a young Republicans group in South Carolina, views the termination of dual citizenship as a common-sense measure. He believes that prioritizing the interests of the country over personal interests and financial gains can best be achieved by "an actual American who can do all those things."
Haley's conservative perspective extends beyond dual citizenship. He firmly believes that Americans should not serve in foreign militaries, viewing it as a conflict of interest. "You should not have, as an American, you should not be able to serve in a foreign country's military. That's disqualifying. That's not normal. That shouldn't be allowed. That's basically saying your loyalty is to another country and not your own," Haley argued.
Haley's passion for issues relevant to his generation is evident. He predicts that young conservatives will ultimately reject the progressive trend of 'wokeness,' as it contradicts natural order. "I think Gen Z is gonna reject wokeness mainly because we grew up with it and I think we're tired of it," Haley said. He attributes this anticipated shift to a resurgence of faith among his generation, particularly in Jesus Christ, and a return to traditional values.
Haley is also a strong advocate for his generation to voice their concerns and issues. He encourages them to speak out, as he believes older generations may not fully comprehend the challenges faced by Gen Z. "Use your voice," Haley urged. "Learn how to use your voice and speak out because no one's gonna be able to help you. No one's gonna be able to identify the problems if they don't know what's going on."
Haley's conservative viewpoint, advocating for undivided loyalty to the United States and a return to traditional values, is a testament to his belief in the importance of prioritizing American interests. His call for the termination of dual citizenship and his stance against Americans serving in foreign militaries underscore his commitment to preserving American sovereignty and the integrity of its public offices.
His message to his generation, urging them to voice their concerns, reflects his belief in the power of dialogue and the importance of understanding the unique challenges faced by Gen Z.
