Erika Kirk, the widow of the late Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, has recently addressed the rampant conspiracy theories surrounding her husband's untimely demise.
In a candid and emotional interview on Fox News' Outnumbered, she vehemently dismissed the unfounded speculations and rumors that have been circulating, primarily propagated by podcasters such as Candace Owens and others.
According to RedState, Kirk was questioned about the allegations and conjectures surrounding her husband's assassination, including the location of his final resting place. In response, she stated, "No rock will be unturned. I want justice for my husband, for myself, for my family more than anyone else out there."
She further expressed her desire for a sacred space for her family, free from the interference of those seeking to exploit her husband's death for their own agendas.
"Can I have one thing? Can my babies have one thing where we hold it sacred, where my husband is laid to rest?" Kirk implored. She voiced her fear of "some secular revolutionary coming and destroying my husband's grave, while my daughter is sitting there praying." She emphasized her need for one aspect of her life to remain untouched by the public's prying eyes.
Kirk clarified that her silence should not be misconstrued as complacency or acceptance of the circulating rumors. "My silence does not mean that I'm complacent," she asserted. She also dismissed the notion that Turning Point USA and its staff, who deeply admired her husband, were somehow complicit in the conspiracy theories. "We are busy building," she stated, highlighting their focus on continuing the work her husband started.
She acknowledged that much of the speculation might stem from people seeking answers to the tragic loss of her husband. However, she reiterated her commitment to seeking justice, stating, "No rock will be unturned. I want justice for my husband, for myself, for my family more than anyone else out there."
Kirk expressed her breaking point as being when these conspiracy theorists target those she holds dear, including her family and the Turning Point USA community. She expressed her outrage at those profiting from these unfounded accusations, stating, "When you go after the people that I love, and you're making hundreds and thousands of dollars every single episode, going after the people that I love because somehow they're in on this NO!"
She described her anger as righteous, emphasizing that such behavior is neither acceptable nor healthy. "This is a mind virus but this is not okay. But just know your words are very powerful, and we are human," she cautioned. She also highlighted the human toll these theories have taken on her team, who have been subjected to death threats and other forms of harassment.
Kirk concluded her interview with a firm message to those spreading these theories, stating, "This is a duty to my husband, and it's an absolute honor. And I will never back down." She urged them to cease their harmful actions.
As reported by RedState, Owens has made several accusations, including the claim that Kirk's friends and his organization were aware of and approved his murder. She also suggested a foreign government's involvement in his assassination, allegations that the FBI has since debunked.
As the Kirk family continues to navigate this challenging time, they remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice and the preservation of Charlie Kirk's legacy.
