Golden Globe-winning actor Sylvester Stallone recently expressed strong admiration for Vice President JD Vance, characterizing the former Marine and bestselling author as a genuine and compelling leader poised to advance the political movement initiated by President Donald Trump.
Stallone's remarks came during a reception at the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors weekend, where he was honored by President Trump for his contributions to American arts and culture.
According to Breitbart, when asked about JD Vance's potential to succeed the political movement started by Trump, Stallone confidently replied, Oh, without a doubt. The iconic Rocky star described Vance as an elegant man, reflecting on their interaction with appreciation. Stallone noted that Vance was quite generous in his words to me and to my family, despite having no obligation to be so.
Theres something about when you look at a man eye to eye, Stallone observed, emphasizing Vance's authenticity and lack of pretense. He further highlighted Vances memoir, stating, Look at the book he wrote talk about humble beginnings.
Stallone's commendation comes as JD Vance garners increasing national attention as a pivotal figure in the Republican Party's future. Currently serving as both vice president and Finance Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Vance has emerged as a frontrunner for the 2028 presidential race. A recent New Hampshire poll indicates he commands 57 percent support among likely Republican voters, underscoring his growing influence.
President Trump has actively encouraged this narrative in recent months. During a cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump suggested that members of his administration, specifically Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, could form the next Republican presidential ticket.
