McGrath has thrown his support behind Republican Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is campaigning to unseat California's current governor, Gavin Newsom. In a move that underscores his dissatisfaction with the state's leadership, McGrath is not holding back in his criticism of Newsom.
As reported by the Daily Caller, McGrath exclusively announced his endorsement, stating, "Sheriff Chad Bianco is a leader who is willing to stand up and fight. When Gavin Newsom forced shutdowns, Sheriff Bianco stood up to him and refused."
McGrath's decision to engage in politics stems from a deep-seated concern for his home state. "I dont normally get too political, but I love my state and cant sit on the sidelines while corrupt politicians try to destroy it," he explained to the Daily Caller. "Its too important."
McGrath's critique of Newsom is pointed and direct. "Gavin Newsom has been a disaster, from being weak on crime, COVID lockdowns and an utter lack of leadership," he asserted. "I cant wait to get Chad Bianco in there to start cleaning up his mess."
