Master Troll: Trump Cuts MLK And Juneteenth, Makes His Birthday A Free National Park Holiday

In a move that has stirred controversy, President Donald Trump has made a significant change to the National Park Service's free admission days.

According to the Western Journal, Trump has added Flag Day, which coincides with his birthday, to the list of free admission days, while removing Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

"Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates," the National Park Service announced on its website. The 2026 calendar marks a distinct departure from 2025, which highlighted Juneteenth, MLK Day, and other race-related events. "President Donald Trump's birthday which also happens to be Flag Day on June 14 becomes a fee-free day for the first time, as do Constitution Day, the 110th anniversary of the National Park Service, and the birthday of Theodore Roosevelt," Fox News reported.

Predictably, this decision has been met with outrage from the left, with critics labeling the move as "racist." Juneteenth, which was declared a federal holiday in 2021 under the Biden administration, has been a source of contention, with celebrations often marred by violence and calls for slavery reparations.

The reaction from the left, however, seems disproportionate considering the lack of evidence suggesting that national parks see a significant increase in visitors from the black community on MLK Day or Juneteenth. The outrage appears to be another instance of the left leveraging white guilt to push for social and economic changes that could potentially harm the United States.

The narrative of white guilt, which is largely based on America's history of slavery, is often manipulated by the left. The common misconception that all Americans owned slaves during the slavery era is false. In reality, only the wealthy in the South could afford slaves, and most people in the North did not own slaves.

Despite this, many liberals, whose ancestors never owned slaves, are burdened with a sense of guilt, often symbolically kneeling before black individuals, most of whom are not descendants of slaves. This narrative is perpetuated by the left and their media allies, who continue to stoke resentment among black Americans over slavery.

However, slavery is not a uniquely black American experience. As economist Thomas Sowell pointed out, every race has been enslaved at some point in world history. Yet, the left continues to focus on an institution that was abolished by a white Republican president over 160 years ago. Sowell also highlighted that black slavery still exists in many African and Muslim countries today, but there is no outrage from the left over this.

The reason for this selective outrage, according to Sowell, is that "there is no money to be made denouncing it and no political advantages to be gained." He further emphasized that the word 'slave' itself derives from the Slavs, white people who were enslaved on a mass scale for more centuries than blacks were enslaved in the Western Hemisphere.

Unfortunately, due to the left's control over the media, academia, Hollywood, and Big Tech, false narratives about slavery continue to be propagated in the United States and globally. This is largely because the grievance industry proves to be a lucrative venture for many who exploit racial tensions.
