Predictable Cop-Out: Candace Owens Rejects Kirk Show InviteInternet Explodes With Coward Chants

The recent controversy surrounding podcast host Candace Owens has taken a new turn, with accusations of "cowardice" being leveled against her.

This follows her response to an invitation by Blake Neff, the producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," to address her numerous allegations regarding Kirk's assassination. Owens' initial acceptance of the invitation and subsequent withdrawal has sparked a wave of criticism.

According to RedState, Neff had earlier posted a video on a social media platform, challenging Owens for her "reckless disregard for the truth." He accused her of spreading "evil" lies about the murder of Charlie Kirk, the late co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA). Owens had even insinuated that Kirk's friends and organizations were aware of and complicit in his murder.

"For the past three months, we've received a flood of questions about Candace Owens and her claims attacking Charlie's closest friends. For three months, we preferred to remain silent, but the attacks have not stopped," Neff stated in his video.

Neff also announced that TPUSA would host a livestream to address all the false accusations and baseless claims made by Owens. He extended an open invitation to Owens to join them in this endeavor. Owens initially responded positively, stating, "You can pick the place. You can pick the time. I say we do it tomorrow. We don't need to plan for this... I want it to be authentic."

However, Owens later backtracked on her commitment. After Neff announced that the livestream would take place in Phoenix on December 15, Owens stated that she would not be able to attend.

She expressed her dissatisfaction with the way the announcement was made, stating, "Kind of weird how you didn't e-mail or call me to ask about times or availability and chose to instead tweet this confirmation out at midnight. Why am I learning about this on X?"

Owens further explained that the proposed time clashed with her daily podcast schedule, but offered to join the livestream virtually. "December 15 does not work in-person and 2 pm PT is also the literal time I do my podcast LIVE every day (which you knew) but we will happily cancel the daily podcast and will join you guys virtually instead for the livestream on the 15th if that works on your end?" she proposed.

Neff responded to Owens' withdrawal by stating that they would proceed without her. "Thank you for your response, letting us know you will not be joining the in-person conversation. We will be proceeding without you," he wrote.

Owens' change of stance has led to her being labeled a "coward" by some social media users. One user wrote, "This is cowardice. An in-person is never going to happen," while another commented, "Lmao, of course she's backing out."

Others pointed out the inconsistency in Owens' statements. "Candaces exact quote about talking to TPUSA yesterday. 'You can pick the place. You can pick the time. I say we do it tomorrow. We don't need to plan for this... I want it to be authentic.' Fast forward to today," one user noted, highlighting Owens' initial enthusiasm to participate in the livestream.

Another user questioned Owens' credibility, stating, "I'm confused. Didn't Candace Owens say 'anytime, anyplace?' I knew this fraud would back down. Confronted with any questions about her crackpot conspiracies and the whole shtick crumbles like a house of cards."

The controversy surrounding Owens' allegations and her subsequent withdrawal from the proposed livestream continues to unfold. As it stands, the question of whether Owens will be present to defend her claims remains unanswered.
