Trump Ally Mike Lindell Throws Hat In Ring To Run For Minnesota Governor

Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, is contemplating a bid for the governorship of Minnesota.

The registration of the Mike Lindell for Governor committee with the state's Campaign Finance Board on Wednesday signals his potential entry into the race. Lindell conveyed to the Star Tribune that his decision "isnt 100% yet," but he plans to announce his intentions during a news conference on December 11.

In a previous conversation with the Star Tribune in October, Lindell revealed that he had conducted polls for hypothetical matchups against the current Democratic Governor Tim Walz, who also ran unsuccessfully for Vice President, as well as other Republican contenders. Lindell confidently stated, "if there was someone to win, it would be me."

Among the Republican candidates are 2022 nominee Scott Jensen, Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, state Representative Kristin Robbins, attorney Chris Madel, and businessman Kendall Qualls. While many candidates are hopeful for an endorsement from President Donald Trump, Lindell's close association with the President might complicate those aspirations.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Minnesota DFL Chair Richard Carlbom criticized Lindell, stating that he "represents exactly what todays Republican Party has become: conspiratorial, extremist, and weird." Carlbom further commented, "Hes an out-of-touch salesman running to turn Minnesota into his next failed business."

Lindell has been considering a gubernatorial run since April, expressing his dissatisfaction with Governor Walz. "I live here in Minnesota, everywhere I go, nobody wants Tim Walz. They dont. Even if youre a Democrat, you think hes a good Democrat governor? They dont even like him for what he did these nonsensical things he did," Lindell remarked. As the situation develops, updates are anticipated.
