In a recent Thanksgiving message, President Donald Trump announced his intention to "permanently pause" immigration from third-world countries, a move he termed as "reverse migration."
This announcement, made on Truth Social, was a direct critique of the Biden administration's handling of the Afghanistan evacuation.
According to The Post Millennial, Trump criticized the admission of a large number of evacuees into the U.S., describing them as "unvetted and unchecked." He pledged to remove any migrants who pose security risks or are public charges.
In his post, Trump stated, "This is part of the horrendous airlift from Afghanistan. Hundreds of thousands of people poured into our Country totally unvetted and unchecked. We will fix it, but will never forget what Crooked Joe Biden and his Thugs did to our Country! Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many."
The President further outlined his proposed policy, stating, "I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Bidens Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization."
Trump's proposed "reverse migration" policy aims to significantly reduce illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorized and illegal Autopen approval process. He concluded his post with a Thanksgiving message, albeit with a stern warning to those who "hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for."
In a separate post, Trump addressed the issue of immigration and its impact on American citizens. He claimed that the official United States foreign population stands at 53 million people, most of whom are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels.
Trump stated, "A migrant earning $30,000 with a green card will get roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits for their family. The real migrant population is much higher. This refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America, something that did not exist after World War II (Failed schools, high crime, urban decay, overcrowded hospitals, housing shortages, and large deficits, etc.)."
He also criticized the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar for their alleged inaction and complaints about the country, respectively.
Trump's proposed policy of "reverse migration" and his critique of the current administration's immigration policies reflect his conservative stance on immigration and national security. His comments underscore the ongoing debate on immigration policy in the U.S., a topic that continues to divide public opinion and political discourse. As this story develops, it remains to be seen how these proposed changes will impact the U.S. immigration system and the lives of those affected by it.
