On Tuesday evening, President Trump decisively dismissed a misleading report suggesting that Kash Patel's position was in jeopardy.
The report, originating from the left-leaning MS NOW, claimed Patel was on "thin ice" and speculated that Andrew Bailey, a senior FBI official, might soon replace him.
According to Gateway Pundit, MS NOW alleged, "President Donald Trump is considering removing Kash Patel as FBI director in the coming months, as he and his top aides have grown increasingly frustrated by the unflattering headlines Patel has recently generated, according to three people with knowledge of the situation who requested anonymity in order to speak freely."
The report further criticized Patel for his management of bureau resources and alleged conflicts with other Trump allies.
However, during a conversation with reporters aboard Air Force One, President Trump unequivocally refuted these claims. When asked about the potential replacement of Patel, Trump responded, "Kash Patel? No! Hes doing a great job!" This statement was made as he traveled to Mar-a-Lago, reinforcing his support for Patel.
Earlier that day, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also addressed the rumors, labeling them as entirely fabricated. In a statement posted to X, she recounted being in the Oval Office with President Trump and Patel when the story emerged. She quoted the President's reaction: What? Thats totally false. Come on Kash, lets take a picture to show them youre doing a great job!
The narrative pushed by MS NOW appears to be another instance of misinformation aimed at undermining the administration. President Trump's firm denial and the White House's swift response underscore their commitment to countering such unfounded claims.
