Watch: Joy Reid Accuses JD Vance Of Plotting To Swap Brown Hindu Wife For White Woman To Appease MAGA

In a recent episode of the "I've Had It" podcast, Joy Reid, a former MSNBC host, raised eyebrows with her provocative remarks regarding Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance.

Reid speculated on the political future of Vance, questioning whether his marriage to Usha, an Indian American, might hinder his appeal to the MAGA base. Her comments have sparked a conversation about race, politics, and the dynamics within the conservative movement.

According to Fox News, Reid expressed skepticism about Vance's potential as the 2028 successor to President Donald Trump, suggesting that his marriage might not sit well with certain segments of the MAGA supporters. "They can't have the successor to MAGA be the guy with the Brown Hindu wife," she remarked, adding that the predominantly Christian nationalist base might not embrace such a union.

Reid further speculated that Vance might be distancing himself from his wife, Usha, for political gain, stating, "That's why he's throwing his wife under the bus. Poor Usha. Or she's in on it."

The podcast also featured co-host Jennifer Welch, who commented on Vance's interactions with Erika Kirk, describing them as peculiar. "Playing slap and tickle with Erika Kirk, it's the weirdest s--- I've ever seen," Welch said, likening Kirk's style to that of Tammy Faye. Reid added her own observations, noting Kirk's affectionate gestures towards Vance at a recent Turning Point event. "Holding on the back of his head and rubbing on his head," Reid said, expressing her surprise at the public display.

Reid went on to suggest that a potential shift in Vance's personal life could be a calculated move to solidify his standing with the MAGA base. "Wouldn't it be the most perfect fairy tale, MAGA fairy tale, if he finally sees the light that he needs a White queen instead of this Brown Hindu?" she pondered, while clarifying that she was not asserting this as a fact.

Fox News Digital attempted to reach out to the White House, JD Vances team, and Turning Point USA for comments but did not receive immediate responses. Reid's remarks come in the wake of her show's cancellation by MSNBC, now rebranded as MS NOW. She currently hosts "The Joy Reid Show" on YouTube, continuing to engage with her audience through digital platforms.
