At least that is according to Texas Senator Ted Cruz. The New York Post reported that Cruz said 22,000 migrants waited across the Rio Grande, intending to raid the Southern border as soon as Title 42 expired, and it would bring tragedy, suffering, and death. Joe Biden, this is your fault, said the U.S. Senator in a video posted to Twitter Thursday evening.
Cruz blasted the current administration from the location of the border in Brownsville, Texas. He said, Were seeing an invasion at our southern border, and there are, right now, over 22,000 illegal immigrants right across the river.
The Republican continued, The invasion were going to see [is] going to be massive. We already have the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country. And in just a few hours, its getting worse.
In the video, Cruz addresses Biden, saying, The people who [are] killed crossing illegally, thats your fault. The women who [are] sexually abused crossing illegally, thats your fault. The children who [are] brutalized crossing illegally, thats your fault. The people who [are] dying of drug overdosesover 100,000 last yearthat is your fault.
Citing allowing this to happen was inhumane and not compassionate, Cruz challenged the President, saying, Come down here, President Biden. Stop hiding in the basementstop pretending this misery is not your fault. Stop it.
According to Fox News, Cruz tweeted, Im in Brownsville, seeing the #BidenBorderCrisis firsthandthis is his fault!
In another video clip, he found a sandal as he walked along a road, saying it probably belonged to a girl no more than 5 or 6 years old.
Cruz did not pull any punches. He cautioned, Well see tragedy, well see suffering well see people die. Well see women brutalized, and well see children brutalized.
This is horrific, this is cruel, and this is a deliberate political decision from Joe Biden and [Vice President] Kamala Harris and every congressional Democrat.
He then pointed across the border toward Mexico. Listen to the music, he said. Theres a party south of the boardtheyre celebrating.
Cruz predicted, Theyre celebrating becausethe 22,000 people south of the border will cross and come into America.
